Your Bible Comes Alive Like Never Before

SMBC graduates serve as cross-cultural missionaries and ‘tent makers’ in locations around the world

Whether you are a new Bible student, or your Bible has become a time-weathered friend, there’s sure to be something for you among the articles of the Bible Training Center. Begin with the Bible fundamentals found in Section 1 – ‘First Things’ or jump right in to an in-depth study of Biblical Blood Covenant. Either way, you will find the material informative and challenging.

A good way to think of the Bible Training Center is as a wide-ranging Bible course rather than a study of specific books of the Bible. The focus is on developing or increasing your ability to accurately understand the Bible for yourself. The method employed for accomplishing this objective is to present what are for some new Bible facts in the form of a comprehensive study. The reason for this approach is not merely to increase your knowledge of the Bible, but to demonstrate that there is new information in the Bible that is hidden from plain view. This information is only accessed by way of revelations from the Holy Spirit. Such revelations are how we come to understand the Scriptures for ourselves.

Many people possess vast amounts of Bible knowledge, but true and correct understanding is in much shorter supply. The Bible Training Center might be likened to a journey to a new and exciting land. As you travel through the material of The Bible Training sections, you will make many new discoveries, such as:

• Why Solomon said: That to understand is more precious than jewels; why nothing you desire compares with understanding; and why you should seek understanding above all else.
• Why Jesus taught the people with parables, not some of the time, but all the time.
• Why Jesus explained the parables to the disciples.
• Why Jesus said it was to the disciples’ advantage if He went away.
• Why the Bible includes just the stories it does.
• How a book of about 1,000,000 English words (the Bible) can reveal everything about a limitless, eternal God.
• The true Biblical meaning of repentance.
• The full Biblical meaning of becoming born again.
• How the sacrificial death of Jesus brings you into direct relationship with the Father when you repent.
• How Abraham became the father of many nations in fulfillment of God’s promise.
• The necessity of walking in sanctification after repentance.
• A fuller understanding of the events that took place on the day of Pentecost.
• The true meaning of the expression, “Two become one.”
• The critical importance of unity.
• The law of the universe today.
• The true meaning of the righteous judgment of God, and how it is at work in the world today.

The articles included in the Bible Training Center are a complete Bible study. Articles are divided into twelve sections beginning with ‘First Things’ and ending with a section that includes articles on the Righteous Judgment of God. Some of the subjects of the articles in the study focus on the nature of the Bible itself while others explore the world of understanding. For example, there are several articles dealing with the use of parables in the Bible. The majority of the articles take an in-depth look at the subject of Biblical blood covenant.

The articles found in the Bible Training Center were developed from an outline for a Bible study I conducted many times in my home. Participants in these studies included men and women, young and old, some with a lot of Bible knowledge and others with little.

A frequent comment from many of the participants has been, “Why haven’t I, after many years in church, been taught about blood covenant before?” Biblical blood covenant is a central and constantly recurring theme of the Bible. The covenant concept, when explored deeply and properly understood, explains the basis for man’s personal relationship with God. In fact, nothing explains the foundations and the actual workings of doctrines such as repentance, justification and sanctification as well as Biblical blood covenant. Acquiring an understanding of Biblical blood covenant will solidify and anchor you relationship and commitment to Christ in a way not experienced since becoming born again.

To benefit to the fullest from material in The Bible Training Center, begin with the first article and read through to final presentation. The articles are sequential and build on each other so some statements made in later articles may not be clearly understood if previous articles have not been read. Follow along with your Bible and take notes as you read. If starting at the beginning and going through to the end is not a satisfactory approach for you at this time, please feel free to jump in and read the articles that seem to be the most interesting to you.
